Connecting device like 2step to CAN trigger on Voodoo Box

The Voodoo Box was designed to give you full control over the circuits in your vehicle, heres a fancy way to go about it.

Introduction

This tutorial will teach you how to connect other devices to your vehicles existing CAN functionality. Here we will connect 2step to the cruise control function.

Prerequisites

  • Voodoo Box kit
  • Device you want to trigger(2step, line lock, timing retard, shift light, fuse harness...)

Step 1: Configure Box

When you first get your Voodoo Box, it will come unconfigured. We will need to configure it to be recognized on your Andoid head unit.

Plug In Voodoo Box

Plug Voodoo Box into a Windows computer via the USB port.

Open Voodoo Suite and Connect

After downloading and extracting the Voodoo Suite Software, open it and connect to your Voodoo Box.

Click on configure after you have connected in Voodoo Suite.

Download Configuration

I want to connect my Lingenfelter or MSD 2Step to my Corvette C6 via pressing the *Cruise Control Main Button*. So I need to download the 'Cruise Control Main Button Trigger' for the Corvette C6.

Upload the configuration to your Voodoo Box

On the desired port, 'Upload' the configuration to your voodoo box.

Save your configuration to the Voodoo Box, to be accessible by your vehicle.

Step 2: Install Voodoo Box and Device to Trigger

Lets go ahead, and install the Voodoo Box and Device to Trigger.

Install the device you want to trigger like a 2step controller.

Tap Power for the Voodoo Box

Find a fuse we can bum off of, pull it and stick it into the available slot on the 6ft red fuse tap line provided. Make sure the fuse from that slot goes into the available slot on the fuse tap.

Run the wiring to the Voodoo Box

Plug the red power line to the (+) port, and the trigger wire from the device you want to control to (1/2/3/4) port on the voodoo box.

Plug Voodoo Box into OBD2 Port

Use the provided DB9 cable to connect the Voodoo Box to your cars OBD2 Port.

Use the provided USB cable to connect the Voodoo Box to your Andorid head unit via USB.

Step 3: Test out your device

Your device should work now, go ahead and try it out!
